Logitech have just released their Squeezebox Duet network music system. The system allows you to listen to music stored on your PC on any audio system in your home (provided you have one of the receivers connected to the audio system). Not only can you listen to your stored music, the Squeezebox Duet allows you to listen to internet radio and also subscription music services.
The system comes I two parts; the controller and the receiver. The receiver is connected to your PC via WiFi and the receiver to your entertainment system by standard audio cables. A simple wizard then sets up the system and you are good to go. Just browse your music collection using the controller and the 2.4 inch color display and play your desired tracks or radio station.
The Squeezebox Duet network music system is retailing for $399. Additional receivers will be available for $149

Your Photo Frames Got Mail
This is not your standard digital photo frame; the eStarling wireless digital photo frame, packs an email address, as well as WiFi access. Google Analytics Gets New Features
If you have Google Analytics then watch out for some new features coming to your account soon:
Site search tracking - will allow you to find out what people search for and where the searches lead them.
Event Tracking capability - reports that are designed to help you understand how people use and interact with Ajax, Flash and multimedia on your site
Outbound Link Tracking - will give you information on links visitors clicked on within your site that direct them to another site
The last two will be in a limited beta test, so you may or may not see these.

Linksys Debuts Range Plus Home Network Products
Linksys have just unveiled there new RangePlus family of home networking products. The RangePlus family includes; the RangePlus Wireless Router (WRT100), RangePlus Wireless Notebook Adapter (WPC100), RangePlus Wireless PCI Adapter (WMP100), and the RangePlus Wireless USB Notebook Adapter (WUSB100.
The RangePlus family uses Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MIMO) technology to provide greater wireless network coverage (reduces dead spots).
The WRT100 RangePlus Wireless Router comes with Linksys Easy Link Advisor (LELA). LELA helps the user set up a secure wireless network by following simple instructions on their PC. Simply start the application and easily add PC’s, enable security and automatically map the network.

Sony's NSC-GC1 Net-sharing CAM for Social Networks
Sony has just announced that they will be releasing there new ‘made for social networking sites’ camcorder in September. If you like the look of the NSC-GC1 Net-sharing CAM you can pre-order it starting July 19.
The NSC-GC1 Net-sharing CAM is targeted at social networking site users; specifically those that frequent YouTube and Crackle. Priced at around $200 The Net-sharing CAM can shoot video ranging from QVGA (320x240) at 15 frames per second to VGA (640x480) at 30 frames per second. The camcorder records directly to Sony's Memory Stick DUO memory cards, and the included Picture Motion Browser and PMB Portable software helps streamline uploading videos to the Web. The NSC-GC1 Net-sharing CAM also doubles as a 5 MP camera for those still shots that you want to capture.
It has a built-in flash, 4x digital zoom and a 2.4-inch color LCD screen. Powered with rechargeable Lithium Ion technology, the model has a battery life of about 90 minutes (depending on recording conditions). It can record about five hours of web-ready video footage on a Memory Stick™ PRO Duo media card, when recording with the default settings on a 2GB media card

iPlayer Launching in UK
If you are in the United Kingdom, you might be pleased to know that the BBC’s on demand TV service ‘the BBC iPlayer’ will be launched on July 27. UK users will be able to download popular shows over the net seven days after broadcast to watch on their PC.
At the start the service will only be available to PC users, but Mac versions will be available later in the year, as will links from YouTube and other social network sites.
In brief:
· iPlayer will allow viewers to catch up on TV programmes for seven days
· Some TV series can be downloaded and stored for 30 days
· Viewers will be able to watch shows streamed live over the internet
· Users will not be able to download programmes from other broadcasters
· Classical recordings and book-readings are excluded from iPlayer
Programmes will include popular series such as Life on Mars; soap operas such as EastEnders and documentaries such as Planet Earth. Initially, 400 hours of programming will be available.

Zurfer for Mobiles
Have you ever wanted to find photos from your current location on your mobile phone? Well, it appears that the folks over at Yahoo Research have developed an application that will do exactly that…
Zurfer is a prototype application for your mobile phone that allows you to look at Flickr photos that are tailored to your current location. Zurfer uses Yahoo’s ZoneTag technology to determine your location based on the cell phone tower that you are connected to, it then displays photos taken from near that location.
You can also do the more usual tasks on Flicker using Zurfer, such as, seeing contacts new photos, searching Flickr etc…
Sounds like an interesting concept, especially if you are new to an area or are on vacation in a place that you have never been before.

Has Google Street View Gone Too Far?
Ok, so you may have already heard and seen examples of the NEW Google Street View feature on Google Maps. For those of you that have not seen this feature it basically gives you a streets eye view of a particular destination on Google Maps. If the location that you enter has an associated image, you can see in EXTREME detail what is around (360 degrees) that location. The question here is has Google gone too far with the images that they have made available?
With people already complaining about cities putting up cameras on streets to watch for illegal activity, here we have Google displaying on the internet; people, car number plates, street details, houses, banks in extreme detail. Now you do not need to visit a city to get a feel for the layout of particular streets (very terroristic friendly) etc…
Some of the images that are available are quite revealing. You have already seen the lady jogging, how about the guy standing outside an adult theatre!!! See here… Is he just passing, leaving or about to enter? He’ll have a bit of difficulty explaining this to his partner… If the link did not work, just eneter the following into the Google Maps search box '812 larkin St, San Francisco, CA 94109, USA'
So what do you think? Is this invasion of our privacy? Or is it OK because it is just Google?
Why not check out your street to see if it has made into Google Street View. Not every destination will be in there, but check it out and see what you can find.

Is This The New Google Search Page?
If you pay a visit to the Google Korea page you will see that they have a new search page. This new version features animated icons instead of the current plain stationary text that we have here in the USA and elsewhere.
Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt said at the recent Seoul Digital Forum that this new look would be appearing in other parts of the world soon.
There is now a row of icons for various Google services that animate when pointed at. These icons link to Gmail, Picasa, Google Calendar and other Google-branded tools.

Google Earth with Sound?
According to the New Scientist, Google Earth users may soon have a new feature to play with. As well as being able to zoom into almost any location on the earth, users may soon have the ability to hear sounds from that location... Wild Sanctuary a California based company created software that would allow them to embed their sounds from around the world (some 3500 hours) into the relevant locations in Google Earth.
If you want to check out the sounds, they should be available (a limited number) on May 29th at Wild Sanctuary.
