The New iPod Classic

The iPod becomes the iPod Classic and sports an all-new interface, including Cover Flow. The iPod Classic now comes in 80GB and 160GB capacities, with 30 hours of battery for audio playback, 6 hours of video on the 80GB version, and 40 hours / 7 hours for the 160GB unit. The new iPod Classic also gets a revamped body that is now thinner and all-metal.

80GB model - Height: 4.1 inches, Width: 2.4 inches, Depth: 0.41 inch, Weight: 4.9 ounces
160GB model - Height: 4.1 inches, Width: 2.4 inches, Depth: 0.53 inch, Weight: 5.7 ounces
2.5-inch (diagonal) color LCD with LED backlight
320-by-240-pixel resolution at 163 pixels per inch
Holds up to 20,000 or 40,000 songs in 128-Kbps AAC format
Holds up to 25,000 iPod-viewable photos
Holds up to 100 hours or up to 200 hours of video

The 80GB iPod classic will retail for $249, and the 160GB will retail for $349. Both should be available this weekend.
