Logitech Pure-Fi Dream Logitech for your Bedroom

Logitech today announced their new premium bedroom music system for the iPod; the Logitech Pure-Fi Dream. Logitech believe that the Pure-Fi Dream establishes a new category of iPod speakers for the bedroom.

The Pure-Fi Dream comes with motion-sensitive, backlighted control buttons that autmatically light up when a person waves a hand over the top of the speaker. The buttons then automatically dim when the person has finished changing the speaker’s settings. The snooze button also comes with motion-sensing technology; no more fumbling for and hitting the snooze button, just a wave of the hand over the button sets the snooze. You can of course revert to the ‘old fashioned’ hit the button if you like.

The Pure-Fi Dream also comes with light-sensitive, auto-adjusting display that brightens during the day and dims at night.

The Pure-Fi Dream speakers offer one-button access to iPod playlists and radio stations. There are 24 separate presets available – six iPod playlists, six AM radio stations and 12 FM radio stations. With 3/4-inch high-definition, soft-dome tweeters and 3-inch high-power, long-throw woofers the sound should also be good.

Pure-Fi Dream supports all iPod® models with dock connectors (including iPod nano and iPod® with video) through provided universal dock adapters and it supports 1G and 3G iPod® models (and other portable music players) via 3.5mm auxiliary input

The Logitech Logitech Pure-Fi Dream is expected to be available in the U.S. beginning in November. The suggested retail price in the U.S. is $249.99.
