EasyGuard and EasyMedia Hard Drives from Toshiba

Toshiba will soon be releasing some new external hard drives; the EasyGuard and EasyMedia range.

The EasyGuard range will initially come with either 2.5 inch 320GB drive with a ‘freefall’ sensor that protects the read/write heads from shock and drops. The second version does not include the ‘freefall’ sensor but is claimed to be "ruggedized" and also includes a fingerprint reader.

The EasyMedia range includes a 1.8inch 100GB drive which can also be connected to Toshiba’s (NAS) storage device; the 1TB easyMedia Harddisk.

No word on pricing or shipping at the moment.
