Canon Upgrade A-Series with the 12.1MP A650 and 8.0MP A720 IS Digital Cameras

Today is obviously Canon day as they bring us yet more new cameras. The PowerShot A-series gets two new cameras; the 12.1-megapixel PowerShot A650 IS digital camera - and the powerful 8.0-megapixel PowerShot A720 IS Zoomdigital camera.

Both cameras get DIGIC III image processing, Genuine Face Detection technology, and optical image stabilization (OIS). They both can accommodate MultiMedia MMC memory cards, as well as standard SD memory cards and the new, high-capacity SDHC memory cards.

The PowerShot A650 IS digital camera is designed for photo enthusiasts who demand superior image quality, and are looking for a versatile camera with exceptional creative control. It also gets a 2.5-inch Vari-Angle LCD.
