Canon PowerShot G9 Advanced 12.MP Point and Shoot


Canon have just announced there new top of the line G-series camera; the PowerShot G9 . Thos 12.1 megapixel camera should be available in October.

The PowerShot G9 continues the trend of the matte black, retro styling that the rest of the G-series lines displays and is loaded with Canon’s latest digital technology with the addition of RAW mode. Now the user has the option to capture images simultaneously in RAW and JPEG mode.

The G9 comes with: a 6 x zoom and Canon’s Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS), Canon’s Image Inspection tool and Advanced Face Detection technology. Equipped 23 shooting modes, allowing for a myriad of different photo preferences and conditions including Automatic, Manual, Shutter-speed-Priority, Aperture-Priority, and two Custom modes as well as special scene modes such as Portrait, Landscape, Night Scene, Sports, Indoor, Beach and Snow, offering users Digital SLR-like capability in a compact digital camera.

The G9 also includes a three-inch PureColor LCD II screen and easy-to-access ISO and manual mode dials, customized shooting, reviewing and menu adjustments.

The Canon PowerShot G9 should be available in Ocober for around $499.99
