Samsung SGH A737 on AT & T


With slider phones appearing to be ‘all the rage’ at the moment, AT&T has just dropped the Samsung SGH-A737 slider. The A737 is one of AT&T’s 3G phones that offers multimedia features, such as; music, video and data downloads over HSDPA technology. The phone comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera (with video capture and multi shot), mp3 player, Bluetooth 2.0 and support for A2DP stereo headphones. There is also the now standard expandable memory slot.

The Samsung SGH-A737 is available now for $49.99 after mail-in rebate and the usual AT&T agreements.

The Panasonic Strada CN-GP50U Portable Navigation Device

Panasonic have announced that they will be releasing their first portable navigation device (PND) here in the USA. The Panasonic Strada CN-GP50U is a sleek, slim design that comes with a 5-inch touch panel display.

The Strada CN-GP50U provides is access to 1.8 million searchable Points of Interest in 51 categories, such as gas stations, airports, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, ATMs and historic landmarks. It has an easy to use Graphic User Interface (GUI) and comes pre-loaded with map data for the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico, plus detailed maps of 86 U.S. cities. By using the SD Memory Card or USB port users can easily perform software updates.

Looking for a smart phone – check out T-Mobile’s Shadow. This is a Windows Mobile 6 ‘slider designed’ smartphone that should be available on the T-Mobile network this week.

Lenovo 3000 Y410 Laptop Retailing Now

Lenovo have just introduced a new model to their 3000 series of laptops aimed at the home/home office market. The Lenovo 3000 Y410 is a 14.1 inch laptop that features home entertainment features such as:

Batter Blaster Pancakes from a Can

Ok, so it’s Sunday morning and you are desperate for some pancakes, but you don’t have the time to make them from scratch and you are sick of those frozen microwave pancakes; what can you do? How about pancakes from a can? Disclaimer: I have not tried this product. The folks over at Batter Blaster have placed their pancake mix in a pressurized can. If it’s good enough for ‘Cheez-Whiz’ and ‘Ready Whip’, why not pancakes…

LG Venus for Verizon Wireless





This is the LG Venus that should be available with Verizon Wireless by the Holidays. The LG Vebus utilizes a slider design with a dual front screen layout. The bottom screen being touch sensitive with vibration feedback.

The phone supports microSD memory up to 8GB, MP3, WMA and unprotected AAC files and comes with a 2 megapixel camera.

Sony Cyber Shot DSC T2 Packs 4GB of Memory


Sony have just announced they latest Cyber Shot camera; The DSC-T2. If you are one of those people who are put off with having to use Sony’s proprietary memory sticks, then the DSC-T2 might change your mind. The DSC-T2 comes with 4GB of on board memory, which is about the equivalent of 1,300 photos (and way more than I currently have with my own memory cards). Of course, if 4GB is not enough, you can always use a memory stick pro duo card to expand your memory capabilities.

The DSC-T2 packs an 8 megapixel, 1/2.5-inch CCD sensor, 2.7-inch, 230k pixel touchscreen LCD, 3x Carl Zeiss zoom with optical image stabilization, Sony's "smile shutter" and face detection technology, 38mm to 114mm-equivalent f/3.5-4.3 lens and an ISO 3200 max sensitivity.

There are plenty of good camera phones out there; even some with 5 megapixels. But the Samsung SGH-800 goes one further and adds a ‘3x optical zoom lens’. That’s right this phone certainly thinks it’s a digital camera, with great looks also. From the back, you would be hard pressed to tell this was a phone. Turn it around and the Samsung SGH-800 reveals a smooth looking slider phone

Get the Blackberry 8320 Curve for $0


If you have been thinking of getting the Blackberry 8320 Curve; then go and check out Amazon. They are currently (as of Oct 22, 2007) offering the Titanium model for $0. That’s right; nothing. Amazon is offering the phone at a 79% discount. Add to that the rebates and the price of the phone comes to $-50.01 or $0 to you and me.

Nokia Release the N81 to the World

Nokia today announced that the N81 multimedia computer will be available globally (although the USA Nokia site states ‘coming soon’). The N81 comes in 2 versions; the 8GB and the standard version that accepts microSD cards upto 4GB.

The N81 is designed music and gaming lovers and comes with dedicated music and game keys. It also comes with a new 3D multimedia menu which is a first on the N-series models.

Included with the N81 are demos of the N-Gage games; EA SPORTS(TM) FIFA 07, Asphalt 3: Street Rules and Space Impact Light. More N-Gage games will be available omce N-Gage has been launched (later this year).

LG's First 32 inch Plasma TV

LG have just announced that they plan to sell their first 32 inch Plasma TV globally in November. The LG 32PC5RV should be an affordable alternative for buyers who prefer plasma TV’s over LCD’s.

The LG 32PC5RV’s 16:9 aspect ratio has a response time of 0.001 ms and can be connected to the usual devices such as DVD players, home theater systems and HDMI or component ports, such as LG’s SIMPLINK

No word on pricing at this point. But if you are in the market for a new 32 inch TV; this is worth considering.

The Sleek A826 Home Photo Center from HP

With the holiday season just around the corner, I’m sure your digital camera will be working overtime. If you are in the market for a home photo printer then the A826 Home Photo Center from HP should be on your list.

As you can see from the photo this is not your typically designed photo printer. It looks pretty cool in my opinion. The A826 Home Photo Center will print both 4x6 and 5x7 borderless prints and can hold up to 100 sheets of printer paper. The massive 7 inch touch screen, 5.6-in LCD gives you an impressive view of your images before printing.

The A826 does more than just print photos. You can draw or write on your photos using the included stylus or add captions using the touch screen keyboard. The printer also has the capability to edit images to remove red eye, slim people and enhance the photo with the included software.

The Juke has a unique swivel hinge that opens 180 degrees to reveal the keypad. The phone supports MP3, WMA, AAC and AAC+ files and has Stereo Bluetooth support for headsets and speakers.

Site search tracking - will allow you to find out what people search for and where the searches lead them.

Event Tracking capability - reports that are designed to help you understand how people use and interact with Ajax, Flash and multimedia on your site

Outbound Link Tracking - will give you information on links visitors clicked on within your site that direct them to another site

The last two will be in a limited beta test, so you may or may not see these.

This is is Onkyo’s latest Home Theater in a Box (HTiB); the HT-SP908 sports a receiver with 7.1 channel audio, 2 HDMI 1.3a ports, 1080p output, a 1080p upscaling DVD player, 10 inch sub-woofer and a remote interactive iPod dock. It also comes XM/Sirius ready.

Motorola have just added the H680 to their lineup of Bluetooth Companion Products. The H680 combines ‘elegant design, premium audio and Bluetooth wireless technology’ for those of you on the go.

The H680 features a high gloss and metallic finish with up to nine hours of talk time and up to 12 days standby and its USB connector is located in the carry-case instead of the headset. When not in use, the headset snaps magnetically into the case for complete protection.

The Samsung ‘Flipshot’ U900 is expected to be available on Verizon Wireless later this year. The phone looks like your standard mobile phone until you open it up and flip the screen 180 degrees revealing a high resolution screen with features such as; a flash and in-camera photo editing software.

The K850i from Sony Ericsson

Sony Ericsson have just released the K850i Cyber-shot phone that comes with a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, Xenon flash and Video. The K850i will offer 3G speeds (HSDPA) that should make downloading content fast.

The K850i includes camera features such as ‘Photo Fix’ that automatically improves light balance in one click, and ‘Best Pic’ take nine pictures in one burst. The K850i also comes with an automatic lens cover, auto focus for no-hassle sharpness and a xenon flash for poor light conditions.

The Sony Ericsson K850i Cyber-shot phone comes in either Velvet Blue or Luminous Green, and will be available in-store across selected markets from October 2007.

Sony Makes it Easy For Boat Loving Music Lovers

Sony have just unveiled its first splash-proof CD receiver with iPod-direct control functionality; the CDX-H905IP.

The CSX-H905IP is Sony’s top model that includes a 9.8-foot cable has a 30-pin connector made for most iPod players and provides full menu control and charging.It supports MP3, WMA and AAC music formats and comes with 52 watts x 4 high-power output, a direct sunlight viewable white LCD screen, and a 9 kHz and 10 kHz switchable tuner. You can also add one of the compatible remotes, the RM-X55M and RM-X11M which retail for around $130 and $100 respectively.

The CSX-H905IP will retail for around $350

If you are just looking for a stereo check out the CDX-M50IP or the CDX-M30. Both are iPod capable (the CSX-M30 requires an adaptor).

The CDX-M50IP will retail for around $170 and the CDX-M30 around $200

The New KX-PX2M and the KX-PX20M Photo Printers from Panasonic

Panasonic have just recently released two new compact photo digital printers; the KX-PX2M and the KX-PX20M. These two digital photo printers give users the ability to view and manipulate images without the use of a computer. Instead, an SD card slot enables printing from a Panasonic LUMIX digital still camera and other SD-card based digital cameras.

Both printers produces prints which are light, water, UV and fingerprint-resistant and that have the ability to retain their brilliance and contrast for up to 100 years when properly stored. The printers also feature high-output speeds and uncropped 16:9 format printing when combined with optional wide-sized paper kit.

The Panasonic KX-PX2M, available for $99.95, comes with a 1.5-inch LCD viewfinder, while the KX-PX20M model, available for $199.95, features a 3.6-inch LCD viewfinder that shows a range of more than 16 million colors.

Sony BWU-200S Blu-ray Writes Twice as Fast at 4x

Sony have just unveiled there latest Blu-ray writer; the BWU-200S. With a write speed of 4x for BD-R and 16zx for DVD+R, this new model can burn a BD-R disc with 50Gb in around 45 minutes.

The BWU-200S comes with CyberLink BD Solution (software that provides a comprehensive application for capturing, authoring, editing, burning and viewing high-definition personal content captured in the native HDV 1080i format from an HDV camcorder). It will also record on DVDs and CDs, as well as playback of DVDs recorded in the AVCHD format.

The internal drive features a Serial ATA (SATA) interface and standard 5.25-inch form-factor for easy installation inside a desktop PC with Microsoft® Windows® XP or Windows Vista® software.

The BWU-200S drive will be available directly from SonyStyle next month for about $600.
